Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using VelaFoldAuth or integrating with its API, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to registered VelaFold websites and users who authorize Google integrations through the service.

2. Description of Service

VelaFoldAuth is an OAuth 2.0 broker that centralizes Google Sign-In, Google Drive backup authorization, and Google Calendar event authorization for registered VelaFold websites. It exchanges short-lived broker codes through authenticated server-to-server requests.

3. Authorized Use

Access to VelaFoldAuth is restricted to websites explicitly registered and approved by VelaFold. Registered websites receive a unique client_key and client_secret. You agree to:

Keep your client_secret confidential and never expose it in client-side code
Use the service only for approved Google Sign-In, Drive backup, or Calendar workflow features in your application
Not attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the verification endpoint, or replay one-time codes
Not use the service to collect Google user data beyond what is necessary for the feature the user explicitly authorized

4. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited:

Reverse engineering, scraping, or attempting to extract credentials from the service
Using VelaFoldAuth for unauthorized or illegal purposes
Sharing your client_key or client_secret with third parties
Attempting to use expired, replayed, or forged authentication codes

5. Client Responsibilities

Client applications are responsible for:

Securely storing and handling user data received from VelaFoldAuth
Maintaining their own privacy policies that accurately describe how user data is processed
Ensuring their use of VelaFoldAuth complies with applicable laws and Google's API Terms of Service
Promptly notifying VelaFold if credentials are compromised

6. Service Availability

VelaFoldAuth is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance or unexpected outages may temporarily affect the service. We are not liable for losses resulting from service unavailability.

7. Limitation of Liability

VelaFoldAuth is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. VelaFold shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including authentication failures, data loss, or security incidents caused by improper client implementation.

8. Termination

VelaFold reserves the right to revoke access for any client application at any time, with or without notice, particularly in cases of misuse, security risk, or violation of these terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Istanbul courts.
